Aside from the technical problems this would cause issues with both resurrection and skills that deal with corpse location.

And if the ragdoll system did work differently on peoples systems then where would the server class the corpse locations for such skills?

Works well in fps games where corpse location isnt important, useless in GW.

To delete double posts, click edit on the second one, and instead of entering "Oh Noes Another Double Post", click Delete, check the DELETE MESSAGE, and press SAVE.

On the Ragdoll Effect, I'm fine with my toon just dropping to the ground when dying, I don't have to see them bouncing of a stair or something. This would especially be awkward if your corpse bounces into a mob of 20+ enemies. Just try and rezz that.

We have knockdowns, teleportations, shadow steps and lighting rides, but we do not have knock backs or falls.

Maybe in GW2, but currently it would be an unnecessary game mechanic.

It's a nice idea in theory, but ANet cannot completely redo the GW game engine just to add it. The animations in GW aren't as spectacular so that there will be less lag. Maybe in GW2 they could add an option to turn on/off?
